AACS Limited were awarded the project to install Air Conditioning/ DX Cooling for a refurbishment at the University of Sunderland’s Murray Library, the project was delivered by Gemini Mechanical on behalf of BRIMS Construction.
The project allowed AACS Limited to be involved in an ongoing refurbishment programme of ageing equipment on site as well as a remodel of the upper floor of the library space.
Taking an existing open plan space and incorporating smaller meeting / function rooms and a new IT Suite.
AACS Limited installed Air Conditioning supplied by Daikin.

The Install itself consisted of 16 Ceiling Mounted Cassettes internally fed from 2 Daikin VRV Condensing units located on the roof of the building.
AACS Limited also installed one 14kW Daikin ERQ140 Condensing Unit which was piped to the DX Coil on the new Air Handling Unit and wired into the Daikin Air Handling Unit Controller

RAMS were submitted and approved prior to installation, the Install consisted of one team completing the install during a 10 week programme, with the Condensing Units being craned to the roof of the building in the final week of the install and the O&M Manual for operation was submitted upon request at the end of the installation.
