University of Sunderland 3D Print Centre
On behalf of Gemini Mechanical
AACS Limited were awarded the project to install a new VRF Air Conditioning system to replace ageing equipment at the University of Sunderland’s Industry Centre as part of an upgrade to their existing 3D printing lab, the upgrade meant that there were greater heat loads in the main 3D printing room.
Therefore a requirement for more cooling was needed, the project was delivered by Gemini Mechanical Services.
AACS Limited installed Air Conditioning supplied by Mitsubishi Electric.
The Install itself consisted of a mixture of 7 indoor Air Conditioning Units (Wall Mounted, Ceiling Cassette and Ceiling Suspended) fed from a new slimline VRF Condensing unit located externally to the building resulting in more space in the external paddock area.
AACS Limited also installed a Mitsubishi Electric AE-200E Centralised Controller as part of the installation.
RAMS were submitted and approved prior to installation, the install consisted of one team of engineers on site for 5 weeks completing the works and the O&M Manual for operation was submitted upon request at the end of the installation.
