Sunderland University - Cadaveric Facility and Murray Library

AACS Limited were awarded the project to install Air Conditioning/ DX Cooling and Door Curtain to the new Cadaveric Facility at Sunderland University, the project was delivered by Gemini Mechanical on behalf of BRIMS Construction.


This multimillion-pound facility is the flagship centre of the newly established School of Medicine, as well as providing vital training for students within the faculty of health sciences and wellbeing. It will also provide exceptional training to the region’s surgeons and surgical trainees.


AACS Limited installed Air Conditioning supplied by Mitsubishi Electric, this included a 3.5 kW Wall Mounted Air Conditioning Unit to provide cooling to the new Server Room. A Mitsubishi Electric Free Standing Door Curtain system which was then built into housing above the main entrance. Finally we installed 3 Mitsubishi Electric DX Heating and Cooling Condensing Units feeding the Air Handling Unit for the building.


RAMS were submitted and approved prior to installation and the O&M Manual for operation was submitted upon request at the end of the installation.
